Dr. Michael Riley

Michael A. Riley, PhD, is Professor of Rehabilitation, Exercise, and Nutrition Sciences at the University of Cincinnati. He is Director of the Advanced Human Performance and Neuromechanics Lab at the University of Cincinnati Digital Futures and Co-Director of the Health and Rehabilitation Sciences PhD program. His research, which has been funded by NSF, NIH, and the DoD, investigates how people use sensory information to coordinate and control movement, ranging from gait and balance to precision manual control, with applications to enhancing human performance, bolstering resilience to movement dysfunction and injury, and rehabilitation of movement deficits. He holds a PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of Connecticut and a BA in Psychology from the University of Louisiana Monroe.
