Liesel schmader
Liesel Schmader is a Manager at Monitor Deloitte Strategy, where she advises the C-suite by shaping the executive agenda, architecting large-scale and complex transformations, and accelerating value realization. She helps organizations navigate the investment and transformation decisions that shape long-term performance, competitiveness, and resilience in an increasingly dynamic environment.
Liesel's work spans market entry, global footprint strategy, and business transformation, helping organizations improve access to talent, manage cost and risk, and build resilient, scalable operations. She brings an integrated perspective across strategy, investment, and location, translating enterprise priorities into actionable decisions – and is particularly focused on how organizations balance growth, resilience, and risk as they make long-term investment choices.
Liesel has advised Fortune 500 and high-growth organizations across global markets and industries, partnering with leadership teams on some of their most consequential investment and operating decisions – including for aerospace, space, and defense companies. In addition to her corporate work, she advises economic development organizations on competitiveness, investment strategy, and growth initiatives.
Before strategy management consulting, Liesel built a foundation in corporate and real estate law, which shaped her structured, analytical approach to strategy. She holds a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Miami University, is a member of the Site Selectors Guild, and regularly speaks and writes on investment and operating strategy and global business trends – including pieces on the aerospace industry and on the site-selection dynamics behind emerging commercial space hubs.
