Kenneth A. Mayuga
Kenneth A. Mayuga, MD is a board-certified and actively practicing Cardiac Electrophysiologist and Cardiologist at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Founded in 1921, Cleveland Clinic has a long-standing history of research and innovation and is recognized as one of the world’s premier academic medical institutions. In 2026, Cleveland Clinic was ranked #1 in Cardiology worldwide and #3 overall among global hospitals by Newsweek. A clinician-scholar, Dr. Mayuga is widely published in his field and is a frequent speaker at national and international medical conferences. In 2024, he was awarded a competitive grant from the International Space Station National Laboratory as Principal Investigator. In 2025, Dr. Mayuga founded the Space Health Center at Cleveland Clinic and serves as its Director, leading a team of physician-scientists focused on advancing the understanding and mitigation of the biological effects of space travel. Through this work, he collaborates with the NASA Glenn Research Center, the International Space University in France, and other institutions. Dr. Mayuga has been inducted as a Fellow of multiple professional organizations, including the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, the Heart Rhythm Society, the American College of Physicians, and the Royal College of Physicians (London).
