jay jackson

Jay Jackson is an attorney and executive with extensive experience in organizational leadership, strategic advising, partnerships, business development, and complex legal matters. In his current role as Senior Vice President at Parallax Advanced Research and the Ohio Aerospace Institute, Jay leads the Cleveland office and is responsible for the organization’s strategic outreach and partnerships. Jay previously served as NASA Glenn Research Center’s Chief Counsel.  He also served as a Senior Strategic Advisor to NASA Glenn’s Center Director, helping advance key initiatives in capabilities strategy, market development, external engagement, and public-private partnerships.

Earlier in his NASA career, Jay served as Lead Counsel for NASA’s Science Mission Directorate and Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate in Washington, D.C. His work has spanned contracting and procurement, intellectual property, ethics, fiscal law, commercial matters, strategic planning, and mission execution.

Jay is the recipient of multiple NASA honors, including the Outstanding Leadership Medal, Exceptional Achievement Medal, Agency Honor Award, and HEROICS Award. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, an MBA from Xavier University, and a Bachelor of Science from Xavier University. He has also completed executive development programs at Harvard University, Georgetown University, and the Federal Executive Institute
